ACOACH

For parents of Year 12s & 13s taking A-level Maths

Up one full grade in A‑level Maths in 8 weeks. Or every penny back.

We mark your child’s working line by line, like an examiner, find the exact marks they’re losing, and fix only those. About 30 minutes a day. We do the chasing, not you.

The guarantee is for the Year 13 Grade-Up; terms below.
  • You see the marks move. A timed, marked paper every two weeks, and a plain-English update to you.
  • Their board, their spec. Edexcel, AQA, OCR A, OCR MEI, WJEC and CCEA.

Sound familiar?

“How’s maths going?” “Fine.” Then the mock comes back.

Last term

They said it was fine. The mock came back 54 out of 100, and you found out with everyone else.

Now

School says “revise more.” Nobody can tell you which marks they’re losing, so they revise everything and lose the same marks again.

In June

Their offer says “A in Maths.” One paper decides it. And you can’t help, because you haven’t done A-level Maths in years.

Why “revise more” doesn’t work.

Most students lose marks in the same few places, paper after paper. More revision covers everything. We go straight to the marks they’re losing.

Revising more

  • Re-reads every topic, including the ones they already get
  • Finds out what went wrong when the mock comes back
  • You do the chasing, every evening
  • A tutor: about £140 a month for one hour a week

The Grade-Up

  • Every line of working marked, every lost mark traced to one skill
  • A timed, marked paper every two weeks, so problems show up in days
  • We chase them when they miss a day
  • Every lesson, any hour, and a guaranteed result

What the 8 weeks look like.

About 30 minutes a day: one short lesson and its retest, plus a timed paper every other weekend.

  1. Week 1

Their first paper, marked line by line

A full timed paper, marked to the mark scheme. You get their real starting point and the three fixes worth the most marks.

  2. Every day

    One lesson, then a retest

A short lesson with video that teaches the one skill behind a lost mark, then fresh exam questions on it, marked, until it holds. 178 lessons, 1,068 retests.

  3. Every 2 weeks

A timed paper, and an update to you

Mixed-topic papers like the real exam. Each one finds the next marks to win back, and you get the score in plain English.

  4. Week 8

Up a grade, or every penny back

We compare their last three papers with their first. One grade is 12 marks out of 100. If they’re not there, you get a full refund.

In their words.

Unedited. Typos included — they're how you know these are real.

“Compared to Copilot, this feels a lot more reliable and gives better answers for A-Level Maths. You can tell it's built around mark schemes and exam-style feedback.”

Not a mark scheme

“I liked that the method was step by step. With a mark scheme, you only get where the marks are, not how to actually get to that point in your working.”

A private tutor runs £30–40 an hour, week after week, with no result promised. The Grade-Up promises one.

The Grade-Up Guarantee

If your child does a lesson a day and a marked paper every two weeks for 8 weeks and doesn’t go up a full grade, we refund every penny.

Measured on marked papers

One grade = 12 marks out of 100: the average of their last 3 papers against their first. We go through it on a short call, so leave your number.

The Grade-Up Guarantee

Up one full grade in 8 weeks, or every penny back.

If your child does a lesson a day and a marked paper every two weeks for 8 weeks, and they don’t go up a full grade, we refund every penny. The site logs every lesson and paper, so you can see they did the plan.

“One full grade” means 12 marks out of 100, comparing the average of their last 3 marked papers with their first marked paper. The guarantee applies to the Year 13 Grade-Up. Full access (£39 a month) has no guarantee and can be cancelled any time.

Questions parents ask on the call.

My child won’t do it if I tell them to.

You don’t have to tell them. The plan is short and daily, we chase them when they miss a day, and the guarantee only counts if they do the plan, which gives them their own reason to do it.

I can’t help with A-level Maths.

You don’t need to. Every paper is marked for you, and you get the score and what’s next in plain English. No maths needed.

Is it right for their exam board?

Yes. Questions are written in the conventions of Edexcel, AQA, OCR A, OCR MEI, WJEC and CCEA, for AS and full A-level, Pure, Mechanics and Statistics.

How is this different from a tutor?

A tutor is an hour a week, about £140 a month, with no result promised. This marks every line of their working, every day, and promises the result: up a grade in 8 weeks or your money back.

What does the Grade-Up cost?

We go through the price on the call, once we know where your child is starting from. The first families start at a founding price, and it goes up after that.

My child is in Year 12.

Book the call anyway. The guarantee is for Year 13, but Year 12s get the same marking and lessons for AS, and full access is £39 a month.

Mocks are weeks away. Start now and the 8 weeks finish before most of them.

Leave your number and we’ll call you, usually within the hour. We’ll show you where your child is losing marks and how the Grade-Up works. No card, no obligation.
